New Parking Camera System

Urgent Update

We’re aware that many patients have already seen information about the new car parking ANPR system shared this week.

Following an update from the suppliers this morning, the installation of the ANPR system has been delayed due to a supplier issue. The expected installation date is now mid-January. We’ll confirm the exact date as soon as this is finalised.

There is no change to current parking arrangements. Please continue to park as usual until we clearly confirm that the system is live.

To help ensure spaces remain available for those who need them most, we kindly ask that the car park is only used by patients who are attending the surgery for care on that day.

Thank you for your patience. We appreciate that this change may be frustrating, and we’ll update you as soon as we hear from the suppliers.

Over the past few weeks, we have seen a rise in the number of people using our car park, particularly since double yellow lines were introduced on Burghley Street. This has made it more difficult for patients to find a space when they need to attend the practice or Well Pharmacy.

From Monday 15 December 2025, we are introducing a new Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) system. This will help ensure parking spaces are available for patients receiving care. The cameras will operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Parking at the practice is for patients who are attending an appointment, collecting medication from the practice or Well Pharmacy, dropping off a request, and speaking with a member of our team.
Unfortunately, many spaces are currently being used by people visiting nearby shops and services, which impacts patient access, particularly for those with mobility needs or long-term health conditions.
The system will be managed independently by Total Parking Solutions. The practice cannot cancel or intervene in penalty notices, and we do not receive any income from fines. A standard penalty notice is £60, increasing to £100 if not paid within 14 days.

When you arrive, please register your number plate using the check-in tablets at reception and at Well Pharmacy. You will have:

  • 15 minutes to register your vehicle
  • A maximum stay of 30 minutes

If your visit takes longer than 30 minutes, just let reception or the team at Well Pharmacy know before you leave and we will update the system to prevent any penalties.

Signs will be in place in the car park and inside the building to remind patients to register.

If you are not visiting for care, please support us by using alternative parking in the town. This ensures our spaces remain available for those who need them most. You can find public parking in Bourne on the South Kesteven District Council website

Thank you for your understanding and for helping us improve access for our patients.
