New Parking Provider for The Hereward Practice
A new car parking operator, U-Park, has been appointed for The Hereward Practice, to safeguard parking spaces for patients.
Number plates will be automatically registered by ANPR (automatic number plate recognition) technology on arrival and departure.
- There will be no need for patients to enter vehicle details on screens in reception.
- Vehicles can park for a maximum of 45 minutes.
- If an appointment takes longer patients should tell reception before leaving to avoid a Penalty Charge Notice.
- The car park is for patients attending the dispensary, pharmacy and practice only, not for off-site visits.
- The surgery does not receive money raised from parking charges.
- The system is designed to be easier, user friendly and safeguard our parking capacity.
- U-Park operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and will issue Penalty Charge Notices to those who overstay or misuse the car park.
Denika Wilmot, Operations and Compliance Manager at The Hereward Practice, said: ‘We are determined to get the parking situation right for our patients and this ANPR technology should make it easier to park, attend an appointment or pick up medication. This improved system should be simpler and more effective for patients, while deterring those using our car park without a legitimate reason.
