Sue’s five years at Hereward Practice
Huge thanks and congratulations to Lead Nurse, Sue Handley, on her five years at the Hereward Practice.
Sue said: ‘I started as nurse practitioner and progressed to an advanced nurse practitioner within the acute minor illness team. As I have progressed I was given the opportunity to manage and develop both the nursing and the acute illness teams.
‘Now I am working towards ensuring the appropriate development and training needs of the nursing team, including the HCAs and practice nurses, to ensure that our long-term conditions are managed to a high standard and in line with quality frameworks. What makes my role interesting and challenging is that you need to constantly evolve with the changes taking place in Primary Care.’
Sue is pictured receiving her Long Service Award from GP Partner Dr Lindsay Taylor.
Well done Sue, from all the team!
